What do we eat for Easter? Chocolate covered everything, little eggs in hard candy shells. small jellied egg shapes. These items merely abet a meal that often features semi-cylindrical pork products. At times, they are bone-in, spiral slice or water packed. Often they are covered with brown sugar, pineapple, cloves Yes we are talking about ham. We also know that typically April showers bring May flowers. April showers also brings puddles, mud and general messiness. Those chocolate covered rabbits we imbibe represent little animals that aren’t often found to be in mud or even messy. Rabbits are typically fastidious animals. So which animals spend their time in the mud and are generally messy? It’s the pig. In reality, there is no Easter bunny, it’s an Easter pig. And that’s why we have ham on Easter Sunday.
